Volunteers and Interns Needed.

The California Partnership is accepting volunteers and interns who are willing to donate their time, energy and skills to fight poverty in California.

Our statewide coalition of community based organizations organize and advocate for programs and policies at the local, state and national level that will improve the lives of low-income Californians.  Volunteers are guaranteed to experience first hand the arduous but self-gratifying work we face everyday.  You will inevitably learn valuable transferable skills related to:

  • Community organizing
  • Various civic engagement tasks (letter writing, phone calling, faxing, conducting legislative visits, voter registration and more).
  • Policy analysis
  • Leadership development
  • Public speaking
  • Administrative and clerical operations
  • and much much more.

More important, you will have the opportunity to increase your political and social knowledge and develop relationships with other community members and leaders.
