On January 23rd, community members, health care professionals and health reform supporters took to the streets to urge congress to get health care reform done. Standing in front on Clinica Romero in East Los Angeles and across from L.A. County/USC Hospital, demonstrators engaged in street theater to bring home their point. Mock patients attempted to cross the street from the clinic to the hospital only to be stopped by health insurance agents (played by ACLU and CLRJ) at midpoint and reaching the hospital. Demonstrators got behind the 'patients' shouting "Si se Puede!" And forced their way to the hospital side of the street.
